S1 is a premium wedding photography service, based in Cardiff and the South West, covering all the Uk and international destination. specialising in documentary lifestyle wedding, blending timeless and contemporary style with a relax, fun and Candice approach.

 During our 14 years experience, we had the pleasure of meeting some wonderful clients and capturing many significant moments from engagements, wedding and follow our clients into parenthood. At every step, we can create beautiful and timeless memories. Our philosophy is to put every client at the heart of our service and to build a relationship where we understand every need, preference and wish. We create a comfortable and relax vibe during each photography session to ensure every individuals feels confidence and free to express they emotions, sense of humor and unique personality.

It’s less about creating perfect portraits and more about documenting the true emotions, intimate moments, and vibrant energy of the wedding. This style provides couples with a wedding album that feels like a personal story, told through raw, beautiful, and candid photographs that will be cherished for years to come.
How do you approach capturing candid moments vs. posed shots?
When it comes to capturing wedding moments, I believe there’s a balance between the two—candid moments and posed shots. Here's how I approach each:For me, candid shots are all about documenting the authentic, unposed emotions and interactions of the day. These moments tend to feel the most real and raw—whether it's a quiet glance between the couple, laughter between friends, or a spontaneous gesture from a guest.
That being said, posed shots have their place too. I don’t mean stiff, uncomfortable posing but more like gently guiding couples or groups into positions that highlight their best features and the beauty of the surroundings. For example, if you’re at a venue like Hensol Castle, I might suggest certain angles or positions that allow the architecture to shine through without detracting from the intimacy of the moment.
